Hey Surulere, your home boy Wizkid is on the news…again!
The Wizkid-produced One Dance, a song from Drake’s fourth studio album, Views is now the most streamed song on Spotify, a commercial music streaming, podcast and video service.

The song has amassed over 880 million individual streams on Spotify, displacing Major Lazer’s hit, “Lean On,” which used to be the most streamed song with 526 million streams.
Released on April 5, 2016, “One Dance” has been a massively successful song.
It reached number one in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Billboard, a US entertainment brand, named “One Dance” the 2016 Song of the Summer on September 7, 2016. As of September 2016, the song has sold 1.8 million copies in the US.
Aside being a co-producer, Wizkid also co-wrote and lent his vocals on the track. On his vocals and its effect of the song, Pitchfork Media stated that “Wizkid’s echoing chirps melt into the fabric of the rhythm.”
Wizkid and Drizzy aren’t done yet. They plan on dropping another song ‘soon’, and we hope it turns out to be as massive as “One Dance.”
